Why I Blog – Reason #95
I have recently come in contact with a few new friends through this blog. One of them, Scott, posted this comment in response to the news that Asher was not coming home:
I am standing in agreement that this is only a minor delay. I receive that, and am so thankful that this delay is short. Father God come, come down and warm sweet Asher so that he may be home with his family. In Jesus’ Mighty Name – Amen!!!!
I know I’ve said this before about the many people I’ve met and connected with online, but finding this kind of support among people I’ve never met is amazing. Combine that with an amazing support team of family, friends and coworkers, and I quickly realized that ALL OF YOU are helping us in more ways than you’ll ever know.

I don’t make the Top Reasons…but I do make the blog roll…so, hey, I can’t complain!
What’s this weekend look like for dinner and Asher?

This is why I blog…for the relationships that come out of it. I’m not big on blogging for blogging. I look forward to the interaction most of all. I constantly check my email to see if someone has left me comments. I love getting emails from readers. I love seeing community being built. That’s why I blog.
I have to say thank you for being included in the picture above. I don’t feel like I deserve it.

Thanks for the e-mail update! We will be praying and I’ve asked our small group Bible study to do the same!
It is reasons like this plus keeping family and friends updated on our lives why I blog. The blogging community has become a set a friends to us we never imagined we would have … and we are better off for them!

i’m with Greg. THIS is why i blog. there is an online connection and community that has knocked me off my feet. didn’t see it coming. but wouldn’t change it for the world. any one of us would be at the others side in a heart beat if needed or asked!
and CJ, you and your family have become precious to us. you are loved deeply and prayed for daily!

I started blogging as a way to help myself heal.
In turn, the friends, the blogs, the comments have been the biggest step toward healing there is.
I have blogged with people that I would not otherwise get a chance to ever meet, and I have learned from each one.
To all of you, thank you. For sharing of yourself with me and pushing me forward in life.
Dude, people like you are the reason I blog. I probably didn’t know that when I started blogging but that’s just the way that God works. We start something expecting one thing and God has something entirely different (and better) in mind.
You are daily in our thoughts and prayers. We had a good talk with Chloe and Emily about Asher tonight and spent some time praying for him as a family. We cant wait to meet you in person.
Be encouraged and know that others are praying for you and Angels are fighting on your behalf.

@Brook » you are included in Reason # 21 – “getting to know people I already knew better”… this weekend may be tough – but give me a call or dm me on twitter and let me know your schedule.
@Greg » I’m totally with you. Meeting different people and constant interaction is awesome. Although, my wife keeps my ego in check by making comments like “have you noticed that when you blog about general stuff, you get minimal comments…but when you blog about Asher, you get a ton?” Thanks for the support, Andrea…haha
@heather » that is how this blog actually started – a simple page to keep the family updated on Jadyn’s first trip to Disney. I sent all posts from my Treo Smartphone while we were there. Funny how things change into bigger things!
@tam » thank you! I’ve enjoyed interacting with you and Brent and appreciate your interest in our little guy!
@pollyh » Thanks for stopping by. I couldn’t agree with you more about meeting people you never would have come in contact with.
@brad » Glad to know you even have your little girls thinking about our little guy
I’m still new to this blogging community, and I have to admit it is pretty cool. I did think it was pretty funny at first to be reading all these posts about blog community, and I had no idea what it meant… till now.
I am honored to be included in this list, and look forward to many many more days of blogging and chatting, and praying, and getting to know everyone. Especailly am looking forward to meeting Asher… He has got to be one cool dude, he sure is loved ALL OVER THE WORLD…
Hugs to you, to Andrea, to Jaydn and to Asher. I am praying for you all.
