Now That’s Some Cool Taxidermy?

This is real.  Seriously.  The Lion is held up by his tail, where it contacts the zebra leg, and the entire mount is supported by the zebra back leg.  Pretty amazing.

    That’s nuts! I’d imagine you’d have to be an engineer and a taxidermist to pull something like that off…

    That is by The Artistry of Wildlife, Dennis Harris and Jamie Outman, They are the 2009 World Champion Best in The World Collective Artist with that piece. Check out the website http://www.artistryofwildlife.com
    Dennis is known in the taxidermy world for these types of mounts. His nickname is Air Harris

    Wow, that’s pretty cool. I never really fancied myself a taxidermy fan but this is pretty sweet. I could see why they won the World Champion title with that (but seriously…World Championship of Taxidermy???)

    It’s a barroque sculpture! good work.
    (Though I’m agaisn’t stuffing animals, I have to give credits to this work – it’s amazing!)
