Before moving into our current house, we lived about a 1/2 mile from work. It was great to go home and see the fam in the middle of the day. After moving, I wasn’t sure what I would do during lunch, but I have been making the 14 mile round trip home for lunch. Want to know why? Watch the video below and you’ll figure it out quickly.

I’m A Sucker For Good Marketing

As a visual minded individual, I tend to pick up on things that most don’t intentionally pick up on. This summer, I noticed some GREAT marketing campaigns involving alcohol (no surprise as they are always good). Both videos do what they set out to do. One involves a beer trying to form a new mold in its target audience and another finding a new way to make drinking cool, hip and addicting. I think it would be freaking awesome to sit in these meetings as these plans develop into what they are below. Maybe I missed my calling?

Now please don’t take this post as a confession to drinking as a result of good marketing. I’m simply commenting on this industry’s ability to create great marketing campaigns. I admit to never having tried either of the products below and do not want this post to be a push for the products either.

So there is a lot of hype on the new Hillsong live album coming out. A select group of bloggers have been given the opportunity to share some of the songs through video (no, I am not one of them – however, I found this circulating on the Internet as the next one to be launched tomorrow). Lakin’ It Up

God has blessed us with some incredible relationships. We have a beautiful condo in Hilton Head that we can use one week out of the summer. We have a new connection with a home on Sunset Key Island (yes yes, both are through you, Andy). And now we have a lake connection no more than an hour from our place. My brother-in-law now owns a home on Coldwater Lake and it is wonderful. During college, a buddy of mine would meet me and a bunch of my friends after work to ride on Roush Lake until dark – every day. I love the water and wouldn’t mind living on a bigger body of water than I currently do (though the pond is nice). Check out some of the photos from the day along with a video of Jadyn and her cousin cheering Andrea on as she wakeboards.

I try not to steal great material off of other bloggers too often, but this one was way too good to pass up (plus its Lazy Sunday day – so its cool, right?). Brody posted this video and the lyrics on his blog a few days ago. I’ve listened to this song several times and really enjoy the honestly and rawness the artist, Noah Gundersen, brings with the lyrics. He asks some pretty tough questions – tough questions for Christians and non-Christians alike.

Little Things – Revisited

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve decided to make a conscious effort at finding the little things in life to push me through. Last night was one of those nights. In her PJ’s, pink socks and brown dress shoes, my little girl was taught how to ride a bike (with training wheels of course). It was a blast and a much needed reminder. You see, I’m an idiot male that requires constant reminding. My kids are great at it. Enjoy the video (the end is worth waiting for!).

I spent the weekend leading worship for our youth. Its always fun to get out and do that as that is how I learned how to play. This weekend made me realize how much I missed youth ministry and the creativity that exists within that field. As I was catching up on blogs last night, I came across the video below – a perfect example of creativity and humor.

This is a video produced for a free youth minister event called Refuge. It was conceived as a satire for what [we] consider to be an unhealthy “rock star” culture that has been growing inside Christendom, as well as an encouragement for the unheralded heroes on the front lines of ministry.

Playing off the theme of a recent video contest, « Transformation : Live and React », Julien Lassort and Matthieu Burlot (France) explored the human face, the most exposed and personal part of the human body. Their dynamic portrayal of 1000 and one faces is a mosaic of portraits and emotions that plays off of the power of faces seen close up. Julien Fargo composed the melody that encapsulates the film.

Poop Diego, Poop!

I want you to watch all of the video below – especially the end. If you look closly, the show is showing the iguana poop strawberry seeds. Seriously. I was watching this with my daughter over the weekend and had to hit up the rewind feature of the DVR to make sure I was truly hearing what I was hearing, and seeing what I was seeing.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about educational programing, and I’m well aware that Everyone Poops, but come on…this is a bit ridiculous, don’t you think? Educational or disgusting?
